PAPREC GROUP, WINNER OF THE “CSR 2014” PRIZE

Tuesday 10 June 2014, the minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, awarded Paprec Group the CSR prize for 2014 for its fight against all forms of discrimination in the company and more particularly for its policy supporting the promotion of women.

The recycling industry is still very much a male preserve. Paprec Group has contributed towards making the profession more feminine. Today, the group has ten woman factory directors and three women on the executive committee, and 22% of employees are women.

Sylviane Troadec, Deputy Managing Director of Paprec Human and Industrial Resources, Géraldine Bulot, Human Resources Director and Maryse Chinchilla, Finance Director, state: “Yes, it is possible to change things. Women in Paprec are particularly proud to be a part of this incredible entrepreneurial adventure. The values developed by our chairman have shown how effective they can be. It is an example for whole of French society.”

Jean-Luc Petithuguenin, chairman and founder of Paprec Group says, “I feel greatly honoured that we have won this prize.” It is a fight that has been close to my heart for 20 years. It has come about as the result of two flagship actions: implementing specific policies to facilitate the promotion of women and shatter the glass ceiling and introducing a policy to support female employees when they have children.”
