SOLITAIRE DU FIGARO: CONGRATULATIONS TO SÉBASTIEN SIMON AND SÉBASTIEN PETITHUGUENINPaprec Group congratulates Sébastien Simon on his victory in the Solitaire du Figaro. "I’m proud to have placed my trust in this young skipper, who will proudly fly the colours of the Arkéa and Paprec groups in 2020 for the Vendée Globe", says Jean-Luc Petithuguenin, founder and CEO of Paprec Group. The French specialist in waste treatment and Arkéa are currently building an IMOCA for the young sailor, who will be supported in this adventure by Vincent Riou.
"I’m also extremely proud of my son Sébastien Petithuguenin for winning in the ‘Amateurs’ category, finishing on the podium for newcomers and 20th in the overall standings of this legendary race," Jean-Luc Petithuguenin continues. Sébastien Petithuguenin, Paprec’s managing director, was racing in a personal capacity for the first time on his boat, named "Le défi - ensemble contre le cancer". The boat’s name (the challenge: together against cancer in English) reminds us that one of this young MD's goals was to raise funds for the AP-HP foundation and the fight against cancer.
