The Castors d'Or

“To be nominated is a reward in itself. To be elected is an honour. In both cases, the Castors d’Or annually rewards the most exceptional career paths.” Jean-Luc Petithuguenin, CEO of the Paprec Group

A Pillar of the Paprec Group

Created in 2004 by Jean-Luc Petithuguenin, the Castors d’Or ceremony annually rewards the most deserving actors of the company. From factory workers to directors, 15 categories have been defined: factory worker, engine driver, baler driver, maintenance technician, employee, chauffeur, agency secretary, assistant, supervisor, headquarters’ collaborator, trader, best new talent, commercial director, agency director.

The Castors d'Or, the best collaborators of Paprec Group

An original election process

To start with, agency and branch directors suggest to the general management a collaborator who has shown great prowess. Once all names have been collected, the selection committee gathers to choose the nominees in each category and the laureates. The committee, which features Jean-Luc Petithuguenin and the different branch and agency directors, consists today of more than 50 people.

A Journey, symbol of the Paprec family

To honour the team spirit, all those participating in the Castors d’Or gather for an amazing 10 day adventure in a faraway location. These destinations are determined by the finish line of Jean-Pierre Dick and the Vibrac-Paprec 3’s races. Since 2004, over 110 “Castors d’Or” have discovered Brazil, Costa-Rica, or Australia.

Encouraging our collaborators, a group philosophy

The Group’s directors make every effort to encourage and promote their collaborators. Each director must know how to detect current employees with potential, giving a chance for advancement to all those who want it. “One has to know how to take charge of oneself. By being self-willed, brave, honest, and hard working, you can rise in the hierarchy and progress.”  Jean-Luc Petithuguenin, CEO
